Our ET program combines proven Merridale bloodlines and elite industry sires. This year's ET sale bulls are extremely good and consistent. We are also pleased with their outstanding sisters from the flush. A very special Dream M103 heifer to sell in the sale this year.

Lot 49: Merridale Dream M103
Feminine, fertile and functional. Dream M103 is the full sister to our top price $15,000 bull last year. A long-bodied heifer with beautiful neck extension and style. She has been flushed successfully and sells PTIC to CMDL110 to calve from April onwards. One to watch.

Merridale Angus Sale 2018

The Merridale Angus Sale is on Friday 9th March 2018. The sale will start at 1pm on-property at Tennyson, Victoria. We're offering 38 proven bulls and 16 elite females. Read about some of our feature lots below. 

Lot 5: Merridale Mitchell M133
Mitchell is the bull that caught everyone's eye at our field day. The first of our Unanimous sons at Merridale with good growth figures, ranking in the top 5% for 200, 400 and 600 day weight. This powerful sire is sure to add phenotype, performance and punch to any herd. One not to miss.

2017 Sale Results

MERRIDALE Angus principal Peter Collins was “ecstatic” after the stud’s most successful sale to date.

They achieved a total clearance of 34 bulls, and they sold to a top of $15,000 twice and an average of $8279. These results were up $1000 on last year’s sale-high, and by $764 for the average, over more bulls sold.

2016 Sale Results

At auction 32 of 34 bulls sold to a top of $14,000 and an average of $7515. The draft’s consistency and buoyant beef cattle prices saw the average up $1124, and eight bulls sell for $10,000 or more.

2015 Sale Results

Of the 37 bulls offered at the Tennyson-based stud, 32 sold to a top of $15,000 twice and averaged $6391.

The top-priced bulls were full brothers, both being sired by Te Mania Emperor E343 (AI) and out of Merridale Ester C131. Both of these sale-topping sires, Merridale Jordy J106 (AI) (ET) and Merridale J109 (AI) (ET) had estimated breeding values in the top one per cent for 200, 400 and 600 day weight and carcase weight, and top 10pc for EMA.
